Curriculum Vitae 2006 - Worked as a freelance barista and doing a lot of seminars. Planning my roastrey to open in 2007. 2005 - Won the world cup tasting championship in Athens, Greece. Decided to quit my job at Stockfleth's in order to work as a freelance barista and seminar holder. Started planning my own roastery to open in 2006 / 2007 2004 - Won the Norwegian Barista Championship in Stjoerdal. Won the World Barista Championship in Trieste, Italy. Became manager and re-opened the Stockfleth's store in Oslo City, one of the biggest shoppingmalls downtown Oslo. The store got a new location and new furniture and machines. Sales were improving from day 1. Opened a new Stockfleth's coffee bar in Prinsens gate 6 in Oslo. The biggest Stockfleth's yet and in a very old and interesting part of town. Now I am co manager of the Stockfleth's stores in Oslo, along with Mr. Alexander Scheen Jensen. My work mainly concerns the quality of the products and the quality of Stockfleth's espresso and stores. 2003 - Judged in the Danish Barista Championship and the Norwegian Barista Championship. Witnessed my good friend and employee Eirik Sand Johnsen win the Norwegian Barista Championship and later on took 3rd place in the World barista Championship in Boston. Started roasting and blending espresso at Solberg & Hansen for Stockfleth's coffee shops. I call it "Stockfleth's espresso." Won the first Nordic Barista Cup, a barista team battle between Denmark & Norway. On the Norwegian team were Mr. Eirik Sand Johnsen, Ms. Gunhild Seljenes, Mr. Ricardo Draisma and myself. 2002 - Won the Norwegian Barista Championship in Aalesund. Came in 2nd place again in the World Barista Championship, this time in my hometown Oslo. Opened a new Stockfleth's coffee bar in the court house in Oslo. Co-wrote the book "Bønner I byn'" wich means beans in town, a small coffeetable book about coffee and the Norwegian coffee bar culture. 2001 - Won the Norwegian Barista Championship in Trondheim. Was sent to Miami to compete in the 2nd World Barista Championship. Won silver medal in Miami. 2000 - My first TV appearance with Mr. Alf Kramer at Metropol TV, a local Oslo- based channel. Came in 2nd place in the Norwegian Barista Championship, only beaten by Mr. Robert Thoresen who later this year won the first World Barista Championship in Monte Carlo. Got my picture in Tea & Coffee trade journal with my new invention ; "Tim's barista suitcase," a James Bond like suitcase with various barista equipment. 1999 - Became manager of Stockfleth's Lille Grensen. Attendet my first Norwegian Barista Championship and came on 5th Place along with all the other baristi who didn't do better than 4th. 1998 - September - Started working as full time barista at Stockfleth's Lille Grensen in Oslo. |
